Who doesn’t love coffee?
For years, I didn’t. I drank it only when I had to, when I had a migraine. Even now, when I drink coffee it needs to be light and sweet, kinda like ice cream.
I always, however, loved the smell of fresh coffee. It smells like morning and pasteries and lazy Sundays.
So when I decided to make a coffee soap on a Facebook Live, I knew I needed to get some essential oil.
Problem is, it’s pretty pricy.
Somehow, I was able to find a supplier, they were having a sale, and on top of that, I had a coupon code since it was my first purchase with them.
To make this soap, I brewed double strength coffee, let it cool and froze it. I used it to make my lye water.
I added coffee grinds to the body of the soap (for exfoliation) and whole beans to the top (just because I love a textured top).
The result is a full body soap layered in the whole bean experience. The aroma will help “wake you up” while the grinds exfoliate your skin. This soap has a lovely lather too.
You can watch me cut the soap too. I had to cut it upside down. I didn’t want the beans on top to ruin the body of the soap.
Have you tried it? What do you think?
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
