What would you call a mixture of patchouli, lavender, geranium, cedarwood and ylang ylang? I call it Woodland Forest.
Imagine stepping into an thicket. You look up and only see the tops of the trees. “How many shades of green can there be” you wonder. “And how many different shapes of leaves?”
Looking down, you see the green moss and colorful flowers covering the ground. Different oranges, yellows, purples, and whites. The air on your skin is cool, a little damp, but you feel comfortable.
You can hear the birds chirping in the air and some small animals scurrying around on the ground. It’s so quiet you hear your footsteps as you step on some twigs. The ground feels soft beneath your feet, but not squishy. Firm, yet soft.
A patch of sunlight breaks through the trees. Inhaling deeply, you can smell the woody fragrance of the nearby trees along with the sweet aroma of the flowers dancing together in the air. You can’t quite put your finger on what the scent is. That sweet flower peeks out from the woody aroma of the trees. Or is it the other way around. You inhale again.
Woodland Forest is made with patchouli and cedarwood to give it the earthy, woody aroma of the forest. Sweet ylang ylang and geranium adds the heady floral aroma and lavender pulls the blend together. Not too floral and not too woody. “Is this what peace smells like” you wonder?
This soap was made and cut on Facebook Live.
