Why make one rainbow soap when you can make two? My grandson Luke loves rainbows, and June is Pride month. I wanted to make something nontraditional, but still with those beautiful colors that rainbows are famous for.
The Confetti Rainbow Soap
The confetti soap is scented with lavender and anise and topped with gold mica and glitter. Mixing in anise is a little something unexpected in a soap, and I like that. It gives the lavender an “herb-y” feel, like rosemary does.
I cut the soap pieces pretty small and let the stick blender do the rest of the work. I was careful not to use my stick-blender too long, I didn’t want those colors to get too muddled.
This soap was made and cut on Facebook Live.
I’m pretty happy with the results.
The Striped Rainbow Soap
My striped soaps are scented with lavender and bergamot. The bergamot brightens the lavender and makes the aroma pop.
I used a potato peeler for this soap. The soap stripes were carefully stirred in because I wanted the to see the whole strip in the soap.
Sprinkled on the top is an iridescent glitter.
This soap was also made and cut on Facebook Live.
Both of these soaps are up on my website, along with a few others I made on my Facebook Lives. If you purchase them, please let me know how you like them!
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
