I love rose soap molds. In fact, I love rose soap molds so much I bought two of them.
The first rose mold I bought was in the shape of a loaf of roses. I found it on Amazon. I loved the detail, but I when I cut the cured soap into a usable size, the soap lost some of it’s beauty.
When I attended the HSCG soap conference a few weeks ago, I found the company Star Original. They make the same rose soap mold, but in an individual soap size. It was expensive, but I decided to treat myself (and my customers). The mold makes nine 3 ounce soaps. I made the first batch and was anxious to unmold it. I didn’t wait long enough and the pink soaps above aren’t as perfect as I’d like. I made a second batch today and I’ll let them sit a while longer.
I’m grateful for those rose soap molds for a few reasons. First, I’m grateful I found them. Next, I’m grateful Alegna Soap® is doing well and I was able to afford them. Mostly, I’m grateful because my customers love them. I do hear a lot of “I can’t wash with this soap, it’s too pretty” comments. My customers deserve to wash in the shower every morning with a beautifully scented, moisturizing soap in an artistic shape and I tell them so.
What are you grateful for this week?
