Description
I’ve heard many things about Karma
…it’s a bitch.
…what goes around comes around.
…it’s like a rubber band. It can only stretch so far until it comes back and smacks you in the face.
…she’s just sharpening her fingernails and finishing her drink. She’ll be with you shortly.
…never loses an address.
Those are pretty funny, but I was more interested in what Karma smells like.
Patchouli, definitely patchouli. Deep, earthy, uninhibited and a little dirty. Think 1960’s hippies
Orange too. Bright, cheerful and citrusy.
Some sweet Lemongrass. Another earthy scent but with the brightness of lemon.
Magical Sandalwood. Incense, musk, and dark. Picture a small wooden house in the forest with smoke coming out of the chimney.
Pine. Energizing and uplifting. Woody and a little smoky. Sharp and tingly. More wet earth. (See where I’m going here??)
And Lavender, because, always Lavender. Delicate, floral and a little herbaceous too.
And what should Karma look like?
She should look simple, yet you should know she’s there, just around the corner, waiting. She’s quiet. Classy. Patient. And when she’s ready, she pounces. She won’t be ignored. To me, Karma screams Red.
So I made a simple soap, no color, yet a “stand-out” material for her label. I was able to find a gorgeous red with some orange, black and even a little purple.
I made this n a Facebook Live on August 19th and cut it on August 20th.
Are you a Patchouli lover? I’ve found people either love it or hate it. If you hate it, pass on this soap. But if you love it, buy it now. Karma moves fast.
