Description
Remember when you were a kid and had the chicken pox? The doctor probably prescribed oatmeal baths to sooth the itchy dryness. You’ll see a little bit of oatmeal sprinkled on top of the Honey Oatmeal bar to let you know it’s there, but ground oatmeal is mixed into the soap to act as an exfoliant. With no essential oils used as a scent, it is one of a trio of classic unscented soaps I produce and sell. You’re just left with a clean, soothing sensation. Made on Long Island with organic olive, coconut, and palm oils, organic shea butter, organic honey and organic oatmeal.
Meet Jane
“That’s so great!” Jane gushes to the phone on the counter next to the carrots she is chopping. She
congratulates her best friend, Heather, for finishing up the long journey to receiving her nursing degree.
But, of course, she already knew about it, since Heather’s mother texted Jane that morning. Which
explains the carrot cake (Heather’s favorite) she is mixing up as they speak. An impromptu surprise
party is in order, and Jane is the first to set the wheels in motion. She thinks back three months ago,
when Heather called sobbing that she didn’t think she could do it. But Jane, being the kind of friend
every woman should have, convinced her that the degree would be that much more worth it because it
felt so difficult. “You can do it! I know you!” she encouraged. As if coming up with a spontaneous
thought, she suggests that Heather come by for dinner later. “And bring your mom!” she adds.
As the cake bakes, she throws on some jeans and a navy pullover and ties on a bright red, yellow, and
green scarf then slips into her canvas flats. As soon as the cake is done, she heads out to a special
boutique gift shop in the historic district, which always has gifts that are different. She knows Heather
will appreciate some earrings or a pendant to commemorate this occasion.
And while Jane is there, she can treat herself to a gift of her favorite Honey Oatmeal soap, and a natural sponge to use with it later
on as she relaxes in her soaker tub with a glass of Chardonnay. Take good care of your friends, but don’t forget to take of yourself, too, is her motto. And it works well for her.
