We visit my daughter and her family in Virginia a few times a year. We drive through Pennsylvania and like to stop in Strasburg to check out antique shops (for me) and train museums (for Brian).
What I never realized, is that my friend Cindy’s shop, Candles and Supplies, was pretty close by.
I needed a few things for my Bath Bonanza program, so on our last visit, we decided to stop by to save on shipping costs.
Candles and Supplies is located in Quakertown, Pa. It’s about an hour from Strasburg and two and a half hours from my house on Long Island.
When we got there, Cindy was on the phone with a customer, so I took the opportunity to look around.
I wish I took more pictures!
I knew her shop was big, but I never imagined exactly how big it was.
There’s a shop, warehouse, teaching classroom and more. I think I spent at least an hour in the shop, smelling all the scents, checking out the soap molds and her candle supplies.
I don’t make candles, but this shop and the supplies had me really interested. Different waxes, wicks, fragrance oils, it was a new world. She makes a few different candle making kits. Next time I go back I’ll be picking up one.
When Cindy was off her call, she gave me a tour while Brian loaded up our car with the supplies I purchased.
Our visit was short, we had a reservation for a train ride in Strasburg, so we quickly said good bye.
My next visit will be much longer. 🙂
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
