I have three favorite candle makers, and each of them makes an amazing candle.
Laura
Laura and I met formally on a business trip to Aruba, but I knew “of her” for a while. She makes both candles and soap, and her company is called “Olive My Skin” Laura makes pure soy and wood wick candles that make a crackling sound as they burn. I love listening to them as I read a book in my favorite chair. She even makes unscented candles for those people who have fragrance allergies. But for those who love scent, she has a “Sangria” scent you can use while sipping a glass of the Spanish beverage.
Theresa
Theresa and I met at an event we did together. The event was a dud, but our friendship wasn’t. Her company is called “Great South Bay Candles“. I love Theresa’s candles in the tins because they are easy to travel with. Her candles have natural cotton lead free wicks, and her “Wintery Evergreen” scent is straight out of a holiday scene. I swear I can smell the Christmas tree and fireplace.
Valerie
Valerie is the owner of “Gilded Olive Apothecary” We met through mutual friends, Diane and Maria of Digho. Diane and Maria told me how wonderful Valerie’s candles were, so I had to try them, and meet her. We made plans for lunch one day. Valerie says “As long as I can remember, I’ve been in a love affair with all things vintage” Her candles (and soaps, Valerie is also a soap maker) reflect her love. “Birch Forest” is my favorite.
If you’re in the market for some candles, you can’t go wrong with any of these candle makers. All of them use soy wax and fragrances that are phthalate free. I promise you, you’ll be happy with your candle.
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
