A significant birthday is coming up for me and wanted to make myself a birthday soap to celebrate. I love blues and greens and glitter, so why not combine all three?
I made this soap on my January 11th Facebook Live and cut it the next day . This soap needed prepping, it contains green and blue colored spheres in the body of the bar that I made off camera the day before. To me, they look like champagne bubbles. My favorite colored champagne bubbles.
In my soap studio I have a collection of essential oils I don’t use for the Alegna Soap® line. I decided to use some of them in this soap. Combining lavender with bergamot and fennel, this soap smells grounding, earthy and green. The fennel adds a soft, aromatic spiciness to the blend and you can actually smell the sparkle as you get that whiff of bergamot. The lavender rounds and softens the peppery scent of the fennel.
Of course, my birthday soap needs some glitter! I used a Mermaid Trails from Mad Mica for the glitter. This glitter appears to be a different color depending on how the light hits it. Pink, lavender, gold, green, blue, you never know what color the top of this soap will look like.
This is a 5 ounce bar that is shorter and thicker than my usual bars. But it’s just as beautiful. Happy Birthday to me!
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
