Sometimes it’s such a battle. How do you get your child to wash their hands? Would you believe some of them want to wash their hands for no reason?
I got a message from one of my customers, Virginia, the other day. She was telling me how she got her 5 year old granddaughter to wash her hands.
I have been meaning to tell you that my granddaughter LOVES her rainbow bar soaps I gave her for Christmas. When I was over last week, and was washing my hands with it, she told me how much she likes it (she is almost 6) and then mentioned how her other one (the melt and pour one with the ball colors) got real small so they started using this one and it smells so nice and looks pretty!
Then she says: “ Wait, I want to wash my hands with that too!” LOL. Anything that gets a 5 year old to wash their hands for no reason has got to mean it is Great!!
Virginia ordered a rainbow soap I had made on my 4:00 Facebook Live and her granddaughter loved it. My own grandson Luke will run into my bathroom to wash his hands with the “good smelly soap”.
Make it fun in your bathroom. Have some great smelling soap, and/or colorful soap. Luke and I sometimes will make melt and pour soap in different shapes, (Thomas the Train and LEGOs), and he loves to watch them get smaller and smaller. Let them turn on the water and teach them how to make the it the correct temperature. They can even clean up the floor if it gets wet.
What do you do to make it fun for the children in your family to wash up?
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
