I want to share my Gratitude for Soap Conferences this week. I’m sure my family is also grateful for them too, I can see how they roll their eyes when I start to talk soap. At conferences, I get to see friends from all parts of the country. And even better, I can talk soap non-stop with others who are just as passionate as I am about the subject.
I’ve been able to attend 2 conferences back to back this week. The first was The Handmade Conference in Ohio. I spoke again on making lotion bars and lotions. Susan was there to help me again and this time I had someone take a picture of the both of us. My plane some issues getting home, so let’s just say I also have a lot of gratitude to be on land again. 🙂
The following weekend, I drove up to Owego with Kathy from Karmic Alchemy to the Bubbles and Blazes conference. This conference is a smaller gathering of soap and candle makers and just as much fun. I reconnected with so many friends, and I won an electronic scale. The conference was held in the Moose Lodge and of course we needed a group picture under Mr. Moose.
Holly of Lotion Bar Cafe was the guest speaker and she made Bath Fizzies and Bubble Cakes. I’ve known Holly a for a while now and she’s a rip! It’s always a good time when she is around.
I’ve been making soap for 18 years now, and I still learn so much from other soap makers. Maybe it’s a new technique on blending colors, or a new way to use a botanical. It doesn’t matter, whenever I’m around other soap makers, I’m grateful that I am.
What are you grateful for this week?
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela

Thanks Sharon. I love soap conferences. Where else can I go and talk soap non-stop? 🙂
