The top thing on my gratitude list this week is my a full day of studying perfuming with Julianne Zaleta. One of my favorite things to do is to make perfume, and one of my favorite scents is violet. When I heard Julianne was having 2 different violet classes in the same day, my girlfriend Jo Anne and I signed up. A natural violet perfume is difficult to create, and I wasn’t sure how mine would turn out. In the morning class, we made a violet accord, and in the afternoon we used that accord to made a violet perfume. We smelled each others blends, noted corrections and made the final perfume. I’m grateful for a fun day of perfuming with Julianne, for lunch with Jo Anne, and for actually creating a natural violet perfume..
I’m grateful for FaceTime and SnapChat and all the technology that allows me to see real time pictures and videos of my grandchildren.
I’m grateful for spending Sunday with Brian’s family. My brother-in-law lives on the water in Southold and his property is stunning. It was Trey’s 8th birthday and the basketball we gave him was a hit. Trey has 2 brothers, so we picked up small gifts for them too. What smiles those small gifts put on their faces!
I’m grateful I reconnected with my girlfriend Patty from elementary school a few years ago. We try to get together every 6 months or so and we had lunch this week. She told me how much her mom loves my Lavender Soap, so I stopped by her house the next day to drop off a few bars. She wasn’t home, but when she opened her mailbox later that day she said all her mail smelled like lavender. More smiles!
What are you grateful for this week?
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela

Sounds like it was an amazing week! I love the idea of a perfuming class and I hope you’ll be offering one in the near future (taking the soap class with you was amazing). It was also very sweet of you to drop off surprise soaps; who can resist that? Hope this week is just as amazing!
