It only takes 20 minutes and every time I do it I’m glad I did. I’m relaxed, my skin feels great and my mood improves. I don’t know why I don’t do it every night. I probably should. What is it? My bath time.
What are the benefits of taking a bath? Why not just take a shower? I’ve read claims that a warm bath can improve your circulation and lower your blood pressure. I’ve read it can reduce headaches, stomach aches, and help you lose weight. I’ve even read it can prevent flu symptoms. I don’t know if any of that is true and I don’t care. For me the benefits of taking a bath are…
1. My skin gets soothed, scented and moisturized. Add a little Epson salt, almond oil and lavender essential oil to the warm water.
2. My muscles loosen and relax. After being on my feet all day it feels great to soak in the water.
3. My stress level is lowered. Maybe it’s the warm water. Maybe it’s the lavender. I don’t know and I don’t care. All I know is I feel relaxed and stress free.
I think it comes down to this. Taking a bath is something I do for me. It’s my “me time”. I can’t answer emails, texts and phone calls. I close my eyes and sit in my tub. I choose one of my soaps to wash with. And I leave the bathroom relaxed and ready to sleep.
What do you do for “me time”? Do you enjoy taking a bath? How does it benefit you?
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela

Such good advice! I did exactly this after a long, stressful day yesterday. Thanks for the reminder to take care of ourselves. <3

Kristen didn’t you feel so much better after your bath? I bet you took one of your candles into the bathroom too!
