A lavish soap. A one-of-a-kind soap with an exquisite aroma that’s made with specialty base oils and rich nut butters. That’s what I wanted to create.
I started with olive, coconut and palm oil.
Added shea, cocoa and mango butters.
So sure, it’s a great recipe, but I wanted a lavish soap, remember.
So I added some argan, jojoba, meadowfoam and apricot oil too.
Really nice!
For the exquisite aroma, I turned to my perfuming oils.
I used Rose Otto essential oil, Jasmine Grandiflorum absolute, Sandalwood absolute, Bergamot essential oil, Cocoa Absolute and Vanilla CO2 for the aroma.
Rose and Jasmine petals are needed in super large quantities to make a tiny amount of essential oil.
According to Alpha Aromatics “There are 40-60 blossoms in each drop of Rose Otto and that 250 pounds of petals are needed to create just one ounce of this precious essential oil”
Jasmine flowers are picked by hand. It takes about 8,000 flowers to make one gram of essential oil.
Sandalwood is rare and Vanilla prices are sky high.
These are not therapeutic oils, they are cultivated for their aroma and smell absolutely heavenly.
The perfuming oils, absolutes and CO2’s are of the highest quality and are usually not used for soap making.
Cocoa absolute, Sandalwood and Vanilla CO2 are perfectly balanced with the floral Rose Otto and Jasmine Grandiflorum. Buttery smooth and warm, yet slightly sweet. Sultry and powdery.
The Bergamot brightens up the aroma.
The depth of the aroma and the scent that lingers on your skin will have heads turning as you walk by.
The result is a truly lavish one-of-a-kind soap.
I made this soap on Facebook on March 9th. It was cut March 10th.
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
