This week I’m asking for a favor for me. It’s December 15th and I have 50 Soap for Soup soaps left in my inventory. So far in 2019, Alegna Soap® has donated $1405 to the St Vincent de Paul food pantry. That’s 281 bars sold. If I can sell the last 50 bars by the end of the year, we can top $1500.
Soap for Soup came about as my way of giving back. Years ago, my girlfriends husband walked out, leaving her with 2 kids under the age of 5, no job and no financial assistance. I contacted a local food pantry and they were able to help her until she was able to get back on her feet. When I started Alegna Soap®, I knew I wanted to give back and decided to raise money for local Long Island food pantries in honor of my friend. Each one of these soaps look and smell different. They are special soaps, made from the last bit of soap in my soap pot. They weigh between 3.5 and 4 ounces.
I’ve packaged the soaps in a cello bag. In the bag there is a card that tells the Soap for Soup story on the back, and informs the receiver of the gift that $5 will be going to the pantry. At $5 each, I think they make great stocking stuffers. It’s a gift that gives back. Do me a favor and place an order. If you’re local, you can stop by and pick up. Thank you!
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
