This past week I celebrated my 60th birthday. Yes, you heard me. I turned 60. I first thought when my 60th birthday came around, I’d celebrate it big. However, when the time came to make plans, I wasn’t feeling it. I quietly celebrated and remembered all the things I’m grateful for.
My 60th Birthday

I lost my dad a few months before my 60th birthday, but I still have my mom with me to celebrate. My mom, sisters, husband and I celebrated with pizza Saturday night. Pizza and celebrating go hand in hand.

These 2 guys Facetimed me on my birthday. It’s hard not living close to them, but I’m so grateful for the technology that allows me to interact with them. They both smile when they see me on their parents phones. I ask them to clap their hands or blow me a kiss and they do. I am so grateful for both of them.

Such a blurry picture for such a great concert! Lady Antebellum was playing at the United Palace Theater on my actual birthday. A friend won tickets through the Artists Den, couldn’t use them and gave them to me. What a great surprise for my birthday!

My girlfriend Charlene once owned Fat Bottom Girl Cupcakes, she’s since sold it to her daughter. I’ve always wanted to try the cupcakes, but since the shop is located in Hot Springs, Arizona, it’s a little difficult for me to get there. About a month before my birthday, I found out they now ship their cupcakes. Turning 60 is special, so I placed an order for 1 dozen cupcakes. My favorites are Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter.

But this week I’m especially grateful for all the Soap for Soup orders I received. I’m running a sale for the whole month of February to raise money for the St. Martin of Tours food pantry in honor of my father. So far I’ve sold we’re sold 47 bars and that means $235 for the pantry.
What are you grateful for this week?
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
