This past weekend was a crazy busy one, with all good stuff. My family was together for my grandson Luke’s baptism. My daughter is his Godmother. My son-in-law was unable to get off work, so I took Amtrak down to Virginia to help her come up. We thought Amtrak would be easier than driving, and we were right. I’m grateful we had an easy trip and Elaine was able to nurse Brian whenever he needed. I’m grateful I was able to hold him and look at him. I was able to get in a month’s worth of kisses.
The baptism went smoothly with very little crying from either of my grandsons, and they were able to see each other for the second time. Luke seemed interested in Brian, and Brian gave him a glance before looking up at his mama.
Luke loved when his Godmother sang to him. Brian loved all the new things and people to look at. Neither of my grandsons will remember any of it, but I will.
This week I’m grateful for all my family.
What are you grateful for this week?
Yours in Gratitude,
