Description
We all want our home to have smell great. If you’re a migraine sufferer like me, you want to accomplish this without chemicals and artificial aromas. Those plug in things (with the really cool names like Ocean Breeze and Kiwi Strawberry) you buy in the grocery store are a sure bet to a killer headache.
I’ve got some ideas for you to keep your home smelling great naturally.
-Place a few drops of your favorite essential oil on a cotton ball. Put the cotton ball on the floor and vacuum it up. As you vacuum, you’ll smell the aroma.
-Take another cotton ball with essential oil and place one in each garbage can in your house. Especially the bathroom and the kitchen, but don’t forget the bedrooms.
-Peel an orange or lemon and simmer the rind on low. Just remember to add a little water so it doesn’t burn.
-Leave out a pretty glass container and fill it with coffee beans. (Only if you live in a pet and child free home)
-You can spray a little Alegna Ambience around your home.
Alegna Ambience is a spray that uses natural essential oils to freshen up your house. It’s a light fragrance, made with lavender, lemongrass, patchouli and a few other oils. I tried to recreate the fragrance in my soap studio.
One spray is all you’ll need. It’s subtle, not overpowering, and safe to use anywhere in your home. Kitchen, living room, bedroom or bathroom. Try it, and let me know what you think.
