Gratitude List- Long Island Soap Making Class

Mom's new hat

I’m grateful for a really great bunch of students in my Long Island soap making class this weekend.  The classes are always fun, but I love when I get students who are all on the same page. It makes my job easier and most of all, I think they all enjoy the class more. They had great questions and were really into the whole soap making process. Their enthusiasm was infectious.

I’m grateful for my mom’s sense of style and her new hat. It’s one of those Coolibar hats that block the UV light from the sun. Now my mom can go outside with her Celtic Completion sunblock, stylish hat and not worry about getting sunburn. I think she looks great, don’t you?

I’m grateful for my friend Kathy’s Head, Sinus and Muscle Balm. I’ve had a headache on and off for a few days and I hate taking medication for it. I’ve spent a lot of time in the shower under the hot water, and putting Kathy’s balm on. It really helps.

I’m grateful I had time this week to make soap in a relaxed atmosphere. Usually, I move quickly so I’m sure I have time to get everything made. This week I took my time, enjoyed the soap making process and remembered why I love soap making.

I’m also grateful for the time I had for creative essential oil blending this week.  Opening all my bottles, smelling the essences inside, trying out different combinations, is my idea of a perfect day.  I’m especially happy with one blend. It has  Cinnamon, Clove, Orange, Benzoin and Amyris in it. It has a spicy Vanilla feel and smells great in the bottle. Let’s hope it smells great in the soap!

What are you grateful for this week?

Yours in Gratitude,

Angela
