I have gratitude for weekends. Especially this weekend. For me, the weekend starts on Friday. I wake up at the same time every day, but it’s easier to get out of bed on a Friday. For some reason, I had a little extra time this Friday. I spent the hour at the public library, looking at the books. I picked 3 books to take home. (I hope I have time to read them all in the next 14 days!) I also cleaned out and organized my clothes. I tossed clothes from 10 pounds ago, clothes that were looking old, or clothes I just didn’t like anymore. The closet and drawers are now easy to open and I can find what I need.
Friday night we went to see the new Star Trek movie with friends. Apparently, I haven’t been to the movies for a Long time. Reclining seats in a movie theater? Those seats were more comfortable than being at home. I’m grateful I didn’t fall asleep!
I’m grateful for Saturday and the ability to do errands, grocery shop and clean my house. I have a car to easily get to the places I need to go and a roof over my head. I have a kitchen with running water and a washer and dryer to keep my clothes clean.
I had time to make soap. I’ve been having some fun playing around with a lace silicon mat my dad and I made. I haven’t perfected the technique yet, but I will.
Sunday though, was the best!
My son brought Luke over to my parents house and the rest of my family stopped by.
There were 6 adults in the house. Each one of us making more of a fool of ourselves than the other. It was the best competition. 🙂
Luke was passed from one set of hands to another.
He was such a good sport, he laughed and clapped his hands and cooed and it was wonderful.
Do you have gratitude for weekends? What are you grateful for this week?
Yours in Gratitude,
Angela
He’s so darn cute. What a smile. My niece has a one-year-old and she’s such a joy. They just moved to our neighborhood, so I’m grateful I’ll get to see her more often.
Thanks Donna. It’s amazing how those little ones can put a smile on your face even on a difficult day.
